The seven fashion designers will compete for the first and second prizes of  €250,000 and  €75,000 respectively, as well as a two-season mentorship fromFrançois-Henri Pinault - chairman and CEO of Kering - an exclusive collaboration with the online boutique thecorner.com, €10,000 worth of Swarovski crystals to use in future collections, and the opportunity to have their collection sold in Canada's leading department store, Hudson's Bay Company.
"Thanks to the ANDAM Fashion Award, one of [the finalists] is bound to become a French company," Nathalie Dufour, ANDAM's founder and director, said. "This brand will become an official actor of the prestigious Paris fashion scene, participating to its international leadership."
Dufour created ANDAM in 1989 to seek out emerging French design talent. Pierre Bergé, the initiative's president, says its aim is to "identify and support, through its awards, the emerging talents of contemporary designers and assure the role of Paris as a key fashion capital".
